someone on the WoW beta manage to trigger a bug which filled his base with an infinite number of respawning skeletons, which followed him to the graveyard when he died and won’t go away even after they killed him repeatedly, he abandoned the quest which summoned them, and he logged out and back in again, so he’s trapped as a corpse until it is fixed

excellent.

I have finally hit my breaking point. For as long as I can remember I have endured my mother’s abuse, whether it is verbal, emotional, or as seen here physical. I can expect some act of violence on a daily basis, and her beating me is not an usual occurrence, but today something snapped. My mother did this unprovoked, and this time she didn’t stop. Usually it’s bad for a little while and then she’s done, today it went on for what seemed like forever. At a certain point I decided I was going to do something I never do, call the police. You see, my mother is a highly respected and very well known person where I live. She is on the board of ed, worked for CPS for many years, and is close personal friends with people like the local chief of police, director of our local CPS unit, and so on. I always knew that calling wouldn’t go anywhere and just upset her more, but today I had to try. While she was kicking me I found my opportunity, and somehow managed to get away from someone more than twice my size. I ran as fast as I could, knocking things over behind my, trying to find a phone. I dialed and they listened and my mother proceeding to beat me over it, while I screamed for help. For the second time today, I managed to get away from her and ran to my room. I barely had enough time to lock my door, before she starting trying to get it, to the point that she ripped my door off the frame. I decided I was going to stay locked in there, until the police came. The past few months I have been collecting evidence against her, voice recordings, pictures like these, and videos of her violence, so they couldn’t dispute what was going on. But I was dead wrong.

When the officer finally came up to my room, I attempted to tell him my side of the story, but before I could get a sentence out he silenced me. HE told me that this was my mothers house, and I needed to live by her rules. If I didn’t she had the right to punish me. He also told me to be tankful for her, because he wanted to press assault charges against me. finally, he refused, despite my begging, for him to take me to a shelter for teens.

I am utterly disgusted by the injustice that occurred today. I pray there is no one else out there who is living in such a situation. I am not sure exactly what I am getting out of writing this, except maybe that it’s just nice to be able to open up about this, when I have had to keep it a secret my whole life. idk. sorry for posting such heavy shit.

IM SCREAMIBG WITH LAUGHTER THESE GIRLS ARE MY HEROES

SHOTS FUCKING FIRED

For anyone not familiar with how modern country sounds, these girls are calling out ACTUAL songs like making blatant references to ACTUAL lyrics from other songs on the radio.

And its fucking FLAWLESS OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING.

One of the reasons I stopped listening to country was, when I was a kid, the radio was full of songs by women and songs that talked about women like they were actual people.

Now so many of the songs dont give women a personality, just describe things about them like their legs, their lips, how they look in your truck. Its just SO much objectification.

My sister just showed me this and its ADSFHASDFKLLKFH she even said she heard it on the radio im so happy

"I aint your tan legged juliet" IM SCREECHING

I might be in love please send help

"I got a name and it ain’t pretty little thing". YES!

This is catchy too, can we make it #1 please, just to cap off the awesome year mainstream feminism has had?

THIS IS AMAZING LET’S PLEASE MAKE THIS BIG

Crow: CROW YES!

It’s actually impossible to measure how many fucks a corvid give because there is no device sensitive enough to register such a tiny amount.

science/animal side of tumblr… explain to me the birb thing

Tail Pulling is a behavior noted in many corvids. The practical application is to create a distraction that will allow the birb to make off with the target’s food. Imagine being in the lunch room and a large fellow has a Twinkie you covet. You can’t just take it from him because he’ll defend his Twinkie. But if you thwap him on the back of his neck and then dash around to snag the Twinkie while he investigates, you stand a decent chance of enjoying spongey goodness. This is basically that in birb form.

Except corvids don’t only do this as a distraction. Sometimes they seem to just being doing it to mess with other animals/birbs. But to use my lunch room analogy, there are times you might thwap someone sneakily on the back of the neck just for amusement. Primates exhibit behavior that appears to be just be annoying other animals for amusement. Given how intelligent crows are, its not unlikely that this is a manifestation of an innate desire to just fuck with someone else for the fun of it. Such as this from the link above:

THANK YOU FOR THE BIRB KNOWLEDGE

bonnefoybaggins said: Why does it matter that Galadriel is on the ground? Gandalf is on the ground and nobody is ccomplaining. It just seems like feminist look for something to complain about. Frankly I'm glad they aren't showing her as some Mary-Sue, like most elves are shown as. That poster makes her seem human, in a tough battle ready to protect the one she loves.

glitteringgimli:

ewebean:

  • she’s an elf queen
  • she’s a powerful sorceress
  • Gandalf, in absolute terms, is a Maia and is considerably more powerful than her. But he is expressly forbidden by the Valar to never use his full strength
  • Galadriel is of elvenkind but she has no such limitations and has protected Lorien from decay and corruption for a millennia
  • She has been on Middle-Earth longer than Gandalf and has thus seen and participated in great events which is most likely why he highly respects her council
  • they didn’t take any liberties showing her tremendous powers in LOTR other than that scene
  • oh yesimage
  • that scene
  • you just called elves mary-sues
  • bye

I will also add that:

1. Galadriel lived for a time in Doriath where she became close with Melian the Maia who was extremely powerful (I mean she protected the realm with a spell known as the Girdle of Melian which shielded them from fucking Ungoliant (one of if not the most fearsome creature to ever walk middle earth cause even Morgoth was terrified of her) and Morgoth the first dark lord for a LONG time. So you best believe she was taken under her wing or at least learned a thing or two from that powerful lady.

2. “…the assaults were driven back; and when the Shadow passed, Celeborn came forth and led the host of Lórien over Anduin in many boats. They took Dol Guldur, and Galadriel threw down its walls and laid bare its pits, and the forest was cleansed.” Appendix B, Lord of the Rings.

If ^that doesn’t tell you how powerful she was at Dol Guldur than I can do nothing for you.

this is probably my favorite joke from futurama tbh

I love Futurama but I don’t get this what’s the joke

The joke is that a bunch of conspiracy theories say aliens came and taught Egypt how to build pyramids (because they are ‘too impossible’ for humans to have built’) and it’s actually the Egyptians that taught aliens and advanced their culture.

I hope it applies to Aztecs and Mayans too ;)

apparently e.l. james called former child star mara wilson (matilda) a “sad f**k” for critiquing the 50shades books a while ago and now there’s a feud. i love it.

I have a love for her that runs deep.
